Why Boy on the Run?

It all started when a member of our running group started reading a novel called Girl on the Run by well-known “chick lit” author Jane Costello.  I haven’t actually read the novel as I’ve been busy:

  • Cleaning behind the oven
  • Ironing the curtains
  • Re-upholstering the couch

Although I haven’t actually read the book, I’ve heard it is an awesome read.  What I did do however is write an Amazon review which went:

“I have heard that the main protagonist in the novel runs a half marathon… What time did she get?”

Which they didn’t publish.  The next email I got from Amazon read:

You might be interested in the following books:
– Bridesmaids by Jane Costello
– The Nearly-Weds by Jane Costello
– Meet Me at the Cupcake Cafe by Jenny Colgan
– A Summer Fling by Milly Johnson
– Here Come the Girls by Milly Johnson

Doh!  BTW I’d just like to say, “Meet Me at the Cupcake Cafe” was excellent.

Can’t spoil the ending but there’s a reason why they don’t say what time she gets!

Great to see you blogging again. Why does the 4th photo in the new colour banner look like your dancing though?

Dancing is an important part of my training! Have you got any races coming up?

100k Thames Path Challenge next Saturday/Sunday, though walking it I can hardly call it a race. With all the mud, a challenge for sure. Still nursing my achilles problems, but it’s getting better, hope to run in six weeks or so. Will def. pop round.
